Yup, you have more than likely seen or at least heard about those old roadside attractions that feature the weirdest people in the human universe and possibly beyond. Here is a collection that should shake up your day.
Sword Eaters

Amazing and freaky all at the same time.
Prince Randian
He was known as the living torso, human caterpillar, pillow man, and the human cigar. He was born in 1871 and died in December 1934. Other than being born without arms or legs, he was known for being able to roll, light, and smoke a cigarette.
Rudy Santos
Rudy has four arms and three legs. He was born in 1953 and is still alive. He was in freakshows in the 79’s and 80’s.
The Musical Contortionist
He could play his banjo while making his body go into wild and odd positions.
Erik Sprague
The human lizard. Erik had body modifications done until he looks and feels like a lizard. He was made famous by Ripley’s. He is a writer for Body Modification Ezine and lives in Texas.
The Half Lady
Mademoiselle Gabrielle was born in Switzerland in 1884. She was a perfect lady until you got to her torso, and then she just ended. She travelled with the Ringling Brothers Circus and appeared in the Coney Island’s Dreamland sideshow.
Schlitzie the Pinhead
Born as Simon Metz was born in the Bronx in 1901. He was born with microlephaly a disorder that gave him a small brain and the IQ of a 3yr old. He only stood 4 feet tall and wore dresses due to his incontinence. He was beloved to all and died in 1971. He finally received a headstone from the dedication of fans and admirers.
Bearded Woman
Every circus side show needs a bearded woman.

World's Largest JesusChrist Statue ever

Poland to build world's largest Jesus Christ statue — A small Polish town has sought to place itself on the global tourist map by building the world's largest statue of Jesus, eclipsing Rio's famous Christ the Redeemer.

The statue of Jesus Christ in Swiebodzin is due for completion in November  Photo: EPA
Swiebodzin, a Polish town of 21,000 near the German border, will soon be home to a 33-metre effigy of Christ, which, along with a crown that adds a further two metres and its 16-metre mound will put all other statues dedicated to the son of God in its shade. Due for completion in November, the monument should pip the world's current record holder, Bolivia's Cristo de la Concodia statue, by some nine metres, and look down on the world famous statue in Rio de Janeiro, which stands just 30 metres tall minus its plinth.  Although erected ostensibly to show gratitude to God, the town hopes having the massive statue will bring tourists into a community that has lain off the beaten track for most of its existence.

Water Vortex Sculpture

“In Charybdis the circular movement of water inside a transparent acrylic cylinder forms an air-core vortex in the centre. Steps wrap around the cylinder and allow spectators to view the vortex from above. The cylinder was manufactured in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Charybdis is William Pye’s largest vortex water sculpture to date, and he has used for only the second time the clear acrylic polymer he employed in Clearwater Cube. This material has enabled Pye to extend his sculptural language and to explore more ways in which to challenge the wayward element of water. A high level of water filtration is essential for maintaining transparency and thereby expressing the drama of the vortex.”

Jules Verne’s Mysterious Island

When Jules Verne wrote the legendary story about the Mysterious Island, many said that he actually was talking about Madeira Island. Are these photos the living proof that Madeira is Jules Verne’s ‘Mysterious Island’ ? We believe in that. Take a look and see for yourself.

Incredible Tree House Community

Finca Bellavista is a self-sustaining community in the jungles of Costa Rica. So if you are fan of everything that is eco-friendly and like to merge with nature this can be what you need. Finca Bellavista encompasses 300 acres (1.2 km2) of rainforest.
The property is owned by Crested Beauty, S.A, which sells lots of between two and 5 acres (20,000 m2) to the general public, in which a stilt house or tree house may be built. The cost of a lot starts from $55,000. Residents are required to purchase a biodigester.

Finca Bellavista is actively developing and already has dozens of homes and public spaces (kitchen, dining room, lounge, WiFi-zone, swimming pool, ranch). You can move around the property not only by land but also on the suspension bridges and on the local cable transport system – Sky Trail.
