A new doll

I stumbled across this Buzzfeed article today during my daily procrastination and thought it was really interesting. This article discusses the creation of a barbie that is modeled after an "average" 19-year old girl. A couple things that stood out to me was that it was a man who is creating this new doll. I thought this was very positive because it shows that not only women are interested in feminist issues and creating a healthy body image for women. Another thing that caught my attention was that int he creation of this doll, a major change he made was to the doll's feet. Instead of being permanently made for a high heeled shoe, the feet are flat to fit any type of shoe.
